DIRECTOR NOTE

Welcome to the Center for Academic Development and Management (CADM) website. CADM is a one-stop centre for overseeing the academic development and quality assurance of all academic programmes in UNIMAS. We collaborate with faculties and other respected centres continuously because we recognize that the excellence of our academic programs are dependent on our staff and the academic quality assurance should exist alongside to support the fitness of the academic programme offered in UNIMAS. We also believe that working proactively with faculties and responding flexibly to the changing and evolving needs of our students and other important stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education (ME) and Malaysia Quality Assurance (MQA) are paramount to ensure that the student learning experience is underpinned by effective and robust academic quality assurance processes. The operation of CADM is executed by two units: (i) Curriculum Development and Management Unit (ii) Academic Quality and Accreditation Management Unit

CADM is here to guide, advise, and support faculty and staff in the following area:

(1) Curriculum development and management - conduct trainings/activities related to the curriculum development and policy and practices set by ME and MQA - monitor new and existing academic programs to be OBE compliance and the CQI activities - manage the iCLASS and Academic Advisor system - coordinate the implementation of MPU courses - prepare and update curriculum development materials for the university

(2) Academic quality and accreditation management - facilitate and monitor the appplication process for program accreditation to MQA (FA, PA, and monitoring audit) - coordinate the internal audit process for full accreditation - supervise the implementation of university's internal quality assurance (IQA) - manage the APEL (C) quality - prepare and update Academic Quality Assurance manual and other references related to academic quality and accreditation - conduct trainings/activities to staff to increase awareness on the aspects of academic quality assurance
